The top down model of change has lead us to failure after failure. We lose electoral ground, watch as regressive forces solidify their grasp on power through unethical means, yield precious civil rights paid for with blood and lives, and all of this happens while we are the many. While we are the majority. Gerrymandering and other forms of electoral malfeasance have left large swathes of our people so disenfranchised that though the majority of votes in a state go to one party, the other party wins the overwhelming majority of seats. So disenfranchised that many no longer bother to vote at all.

It’s time to remind everyone, ourselves included, just who is in charge around here.
